Mentor Program

In an attempt to make the knowledge and experience of the more senior members available to all lawyers in the province, the Law Society provides a mentor program. A number of senior lawyers have been asked to act as mentors. When a lawyer requires assistance in the areas of administrative and labour law, bankruptcy and receivership, civil litigation, corporate and commercial, criminal law, ethics, family law, probate and real property, the lawyer will call the mentor telephone number at the Law Society office and the receptionist will arrange for a mentor to provide assistance to the lawyer. This program supplements the current practice of the informal exchange of advice among our members, especially where the lawyers are not familiar with the more senior practitioners in the province.
