Lawyer Regulation
The Law Society of Saskatchewan regulates lawyers in
Saskatchewan by upholding high standards of competence and
integrity to ensure the trust and confidence people place in
lawyers is protected. The Law Society regulates the
profession in several ways, which includes setting and enforcing
the standards of conduct adopted in the Code of Professional
Conduct and by conducting a fair and transparent discipline
process. The discipline process may begin with a complaint
about a member or with the Chairperson of Discipline investigating
any conduct of a member that may constitute conduct unbecoming as
defined by The
Legal Profession Act, 1990.
