Foluke Laosebikan was admitted to the Bar in 2011. She is proprietor of FLK Law Firm, a solo practice in Melfort.
Prior to moving to Melfort, she graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U.), Nigeria in 1993 with an LLB (Hons) degree. She then articled and completed the Nigerian Bar program and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1995. Dr. Laosebikan has a Master’s degree in Law (LLM) from O.A.U., Nigeria, as well as a PhD in Law from Howard College, University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. She was Assistant Professor at O.A.U., Nigeria, and worked as a tutor and facilitator at the School of Language, Culture and Communication, South Africa immediately prior to moving to Melfort, Saskatchewan in 2004.
She is trained in mediation, facilitation, and collaborative practice and has served on a number of boards, including the Melfort Co-operative Daycare Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of Collaborative Professionals for Saskatchewan Inc. In addition, she has a keen interest in public legal education and is involved in volunteer work in that and in other areas of knowledge enhancement and community development in and around the City of Melfort.
Dr. Laosebikan has served as a Bencher with the Law Society of Saskatchewan since 2017.
