James Korpan was admitted to the Bar in 1993. He graduated from the University of Regina in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and obtained his LLB from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992. He articled with the firm of McDougall Ready (as it was then) and became a partner in the firm of McDougall Gauley in 1998. He obtained Queen’s Counsel designation in 2016.
Mr. Korpan has served as President of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers for several years before being elected National Chair of the National Legal Professionals Assistance Conference of the Canadian Bar Association. He is also active in the community at large. He has served as President of the Regina Cycle Club since 2016 and has coached with the Regina Ski Club Nordic Racing Team, including at the 2014 Saskatchewan Winter Games.
