The Law Society of Saskatchewan (LSS) regulates lawyers, the practice of law, and the provision of legal services in the province. The LSS serves the public interest and advances the administration of justice by regulating the competence and integrity of the practice of law in a flexible and innovative manner, ensuring independence of the legal profession, and promoting access to justice.
The LSS Trust Safety team has the responsibility to ensure the safe and proper handling of client monies deposited into the trust accounts of all law firms in the province. As such, the LSS is seeking a permanent full-time Practice Auditor to complete compliance audits to provide effective oversight and regulation of lawyers’ trust accounts. This work will be carried out in law firms of different sizes and practice areas across the province.
The Law Society and the public it serves benefits from diverse sets of skills, experiences, and perspectives. In line with the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission Equity Program, we encourage applications from equity-seeking groups. This includes candidates who are Indigenous, women, persons with disabilities, from racialized groups, 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals, and others who hold unique and complex lived experiences.
