May 5 is Red Dress Day, a National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People. This day remembers and honours the many women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people who are deeply missed by their family and friends. It is also an opportunity to learn more about root causes and recommendations for change, and to raise awareness and support Indigenous and other organizations working to address MMIWG2S.
The Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed April 28 to May 4, 2024, as a provincial Missing Persons Week.
