The Child Support Service provides an initial administrative calculation of child support amounts for parents who do not have a child support agreement or court order in place and recalculates child support amounts in an existing child support document if there are changes to a payor’s income.
Changes to the eligibility criteria for the calculation service have recently been implemented. The consent of both parents is no longer required to proceed with a child support calculation, and the parenting arrangement described by the applicant is accepted if not disputed by the other parent.
