10,000 pieces of legal commentary are now on CanLII

We are thrilled to share that CanLII now has 10,000 pieces of legal commentary that are openly accessible in our commentary section. Taken together with posts on CanLII Connects, we now have more than 67,000 pieces of commentary in our database.
CanLII’s commentary section offers legal information in the form of books, journals, reports, articles, newsletters, and conference proceedings. This content covers a breadth of practice areas and research areas. By subject, the following have the most coverage currently: evidence and procedure, international law, legal theory, and rights and freedoms. We welcome new additions.
Commentary on CanLII’s platform is searchable alongside our primary law collection, also openly accessible, to facilitate improved access and discoverability of existing secondary content published around the web.
