We’re pleased to announce that a new source of material is now available on CanLII. Thanks to the County of Carleton Law Association (CCLA), we have started offering access to conference proceedings in addition to law reviews, books, articles, newsletters, and reports.
This is a wonderful addition to our commentary offerings because continuing professional development (CPD) content is an important research source for the practice of law. It is often some of the most practical information available, and frequently it is aimed at a smaller geographic area. This means that it may be the only thing written on a particular topic for a jurisdiction.
2019 CCLA conference material from the Annual Civil Litigation Conference, Annual Criminal Law Conference, Annual Institute of Family Law Conference, and East Region Solicitors Conference are available on CanLII here. More content from previous years will also be added.
Thank you to the County of Carleton Law Association for collaborating with us and to Jennifer Walker, head librarian of the CCLA, for helping make these important documents available on CanLII. Stay tuned for more CCLA material after their next conference in April!
We look forward to adding more CPD content in the coming months. If you have conference material that you would like to make available on CanLII, please contact us for more information.
