      We are happy to announce that today, the Government of Saskatchewan repealed the temporary emergency regulations related to remote execution of certain documents and wills and replaced those regulations with permanent regulations allowing for remote execution of documents via electronic means (i.e. video calls) to continue long-term beyond the end of the public emergency period. SALARY: $75,000 - $100,000 per annum.

Description
The candidate is a lawyer and will be a member of our corporate affairs’ team and will be required to act in the capacity of organizing, reviewing, and aggregating business proposals and contracts, and contract drafting. This position is being offered on a part-time or full-time basis, and the right candidate may be able to complete tasks from home. Salary commensurate with experience.

Skills
Effective ability to understand, develop and execute contracts;
Exceptional ability to draft preliminary MOU, LOI and simplistic contracts;
Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies;
Understand the importance of accuracy and attention to detail;
Excellent reading and language comprehension;
Exceptional communication skills (oral and written);
Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization;
Have exceptional organization and time management;
Be able to work independently with little instruction;
Computer literacy; and
Proficiency in English

Experience
Be a qualified lawyer, with minimum of 4 years of experience;
Contract drafting, real-estate transactions, and general business administration experience is preferred; and
Law Degree required, admission to the Law Society not required.

Duties
Contract Drafting & Business Administration
Work with different levels of personnel within an organization to analyze and solidify contract strategies;
Coordinate actions with internal legal team and multi-corporate executive management team;
Obtain instructions and draft preliminary contracts, MOU and LOI;
Identify additional contracts required, flowing from existing obligations, and put those in place;
Report status of current contract processes to management;
Resolve any existing contract conflicts;
Serve as a liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages;
Follow up to guarantee contractual terms are being met;
Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization;
Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage; and
Utilize knowledge of legal records and procedures and frequently controlling confidential materials and documents.
