Phishing Attacks and Other Scams
The risk of cyber attack increases in times of upheaval. Cyber criminals are keenly aware of the opportunity created by changes to normal work flows and due to the fact that many are now working from home. The Law Society wants to remind members to be extra vigilant in relation to unsolicited emails of any kind. Emails that appear to be from known sources asking you to open an attachment or click on a link may be malicious. If you receive an unsolicited email with a bare attachment or link, or with any other red flags, it is best practice to phone the sender to make sure it is legitimate.
