Please contact cpd@lawsociety.sk.ca to be added to the waiting list. \nQualifies for 11 CPD hours\, 2 of which qualify for Ethics. \nThe Chambers Advocacy Workshop returns for 2026! \nRegistration deadline: February 12\, 2026\nLimited to 24 registrants.\nVenue: Ramada Plaza\, Downtown Regina – 1818 Victoria Avenue \nPreference is given to lawyers with 10 years or less experience at the Bar. Questions regarding year admitted to the bar\, number of trials as lead and as associate counsel to be completed with registration. For additional information regarding accommodations\, the cancellation deadline and the waiting list\, please view the brochure. \nNo matter what your level of trial experience or ability\, you will benefit from the opportunity to access the knowledge and expertise of our faculty of trial judges and accomplished courtroom practitioners. Develop exceptional family law Chambers advocacy skills and receive constructive feedback in a small group setting. Learn from your own performances\, that of the other participants\, and the faculty demonstrations. This workshop specific to family law provides an opportunity to hone your written and oral skills in a number of exercises\, including notices of application\, draft orders\, Chambers appearance memos\, affidavits\, memos of law and oral submissions. Don’t miss this opportunity! \nWorkshop Features include: \n\nWork in small groups: Faculty-to-student ratio of 9 instructors to 24 students\nLearn without the burn: Concentrated practice of your advocacy skills in a supportive non-threatening environment\nFaculty of experienced judges and lawyers: Access the skills and knowledge of experienced trial judges and some of Saskatchewan’s finest courtroom practitioners\nCurrent Saskatchewan-specific curriculum: Exercises will be drawn from a family law fact pattern which will address parenting issues and support (income determination\, child support and spousal support). The exercises will develop your skills in oral submissions as well as writing notices of applications\, draft orders\, Chambers appearance memos\, affidavits and memos of law.
