Application Documents and Fees for Transfer Lawyers

To make an application to become a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan when you are already a member of a law society in another Canadian jurisdiction, you must provide the following:

  • Application for Admission by Lawyer From Other Provinces of Canada or Application for Admission as a Canadian Legal Advisor (Form A-11)
  • 2 copies Certificate of Character (Form A-3)
  • Proof of Identity (original or notarized copy of government issued identification such as a driver's license, birth certificate or passport)
  • Certificate of Standing from the governing body of each Canadian jurisdiction which you are or have been a member
  • Proof of Insurance
  • Transfer application fee (Law Society Rules, Part 12, Law Society Fees and Assessments) payable to the Law Society of Saskatchewan (making a payment)
