Introduction and Objectives

Conflicts of Interest are a major concern in the practice of law both in terms of frequency of claims and cost to process. Conflict of interest is the third most common ground of complaint reported to the Law Society of Saskatchewan. Understanding how to recognize conflicts of interest, prevent them from occurring, and react when they occur is imperative to the successful practice of law.
