June is Pride Month with activities and events that recognize, value, celebrate, and support gender and sexually diverse communities. As explained by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, it is against the law to discriminate against someone because of their sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity (among other protected grounds). Throughout the month, individuals who are 2SLGBTQQIA+ and allies work to raise awareness of issues facing their communities and to encourage inclusiveness.
