National Volunteer Week is celebrated from April 27 to May 3 in 2025 to highlight the power, impact and importance of individual and collective volunteer efforts across Canada. Thanks are extended to the many volunteers in the legal profession who volunteer their time and expertise to support continuing professional development and pro bono legal services.
Pro Bono Students Canada – Saskatchewan (PBSC-SK) provides free legal support to people and communities facing barriers to justice. PBSC-SK recruits, trains and matches law student volunteers with organizations working on access to justice issues, including community organizations, firms, courts and tribunals. Student volunteers work under the supervision of lawyers.
PBSC-SK extends thanks to the 19 lawyers and 73 law student volunteers during the 2024-2025 academic year. Special mention to the lawyers who volunteer year after year and law students who volunteer throughout each year of their law school education.
