The Provincial Health Authority Act, SS 2017, c P-30.3, except s 4-1(3), 4-1(4), 4-1(5), 6-4-(3), 6-4(4), 8-1(2), 8-1(3), 8-1(4) and that portion of s 11-15(4) that add s 7.1(2) of the Mental Health Services Act, is proclaimed into force December 4, 2017.
According to a government news release, The Provincial Health Authority Act will enable the transition of the existing 12 Regional Health Authorities (RHAs) to a single Provincial Health Authority, and will:
Along with the act, the Provincial Health Authority Administration Regulations RRS c P-30.3 Reg 1, are coming into force.
19(1) Subject to subsection (2), these regulations come into force on the day on which section 9-5 of The Provincial Health Authority Act comes into force.
(2) If section 9-5 of The Provincial Health Authority Act comes into force before these regulations are filed with the Registrar of Regulations, these regulations come into force on the day on which they are filed with the Registrar of Regulations
The old Regional Health Services Administration Regulations, RRS c R-8.2 Reg 1, are repealed.
