From Tim Brown, Q.C., Executive Director of the Law Society of Saskatchewan
As we approach the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, 2021, during which our offices will be closed to mark the day, we invite each of you to consider this day as an opportunity for personal reflection. To assist those interested in doing so, we have compiled a list of resources and reading materials which is available here.
As an organization, the Law Society embraces reconciliation as a priority for our staff, our membership and the public we serve. This requires a commitment to continually learning, growing, and, most importantly, taking necessary action to achieve this important outcome. Ultimately, we hope our ongoing efforts to know, understand and address the truth of residential schools deepen the commitment and resolve necessary to play our part.
