Thanks to a grant from the Law Foundation of Ontario, CanLII has added access to approximately 4,800 decisions from Reports of Family Law to CanLII.org published between 1968 and the present.
This project to expand access to this important body of case law includes 3,800 PDF decisions that were scanned and added to CanLII and are now available to researchers on CanLII.org. In addition, 200 invalid citations were fixed or removed, and 800 links were made to existing decisions.
We are grateful for a project grant from the Law Foundation of Ontario to expand access to this area of case law for CanLII users. The majority of these decisions were released before CanLII’s founding in 2001. These are important court decisions for the practice of family law, and we are pleased to make them available to people who need access to complex legal information on this subject, including self represented litigants, lawyers, and legal non-profits.
We would also like to thank the Lexum team for processing these files.
The decisions from the Reports of Family Law are spread across jurisdictions, with 1,900 cases from Ontario, and can be found here.
