Reviewable Transactions Act: Final Report
May 25, 2021
The Law Reform Commission of Saskatchewan has submitted its Reviewable Transactions Act: Final Report to the Minister of Justice. The report, authored by Professor Ronald Cuming, recommends Saskatchewan enact The Saskatchewan Reviewable Transactions Act that would replace outdated law dealing with situations in which debtors seek to protect their assets from judgments obtained by their creditors or give preferential rights to some creditors not available to others. The Act would replace existing law based on legislation enacted over one hundred years ago. The Final Report can be found on the Commission’s website, on CanLii and on the Publications Saskatchewan website.
