Cyber Scam
Confirm with your lawyer or limited licensee if you fear either of you have been a victim of a cyber scam. Your lawyer or limited licensee has insurance that may cover any losses you suffer.
Contact the police or RCMP if you believe a scammer has stolen funds from you. For example, if the scammer has intercepted an e-transfer from you to your lawyer or limited licensee.
If you have concerns about how the lawyer or limited licensee has managed a cyber scam incident, submit a complaint.
