Sometimes a client may feel pressured to accept a settlement agreement, to enter a guilty plea, to not pursue a matter or to pay their bill. There is a difference between:
- a lawyer or limited licensee providing their honest opinion and advice on a resolution, or whether a matter should be pursued
- the lawyer or limited licensee applying undue pressure on the client
