A lawyer or limited licensee who has learned private information from their role in a public office should:
- keep such information confidential; and
- not reveal or use it even though the lawyer or limited licensee is no longer in office.
See section 7.4-1, commentary [9] of the Law Society of Saskatchewan Code of Professional Conduct for Lawyers or the Law Society of Saskatchewan Code of Professional Conduct for Limited Licensees for more information.
If you believe the lawyer or limited licensee has improperly revealed confidential information, submit a complaint.
