Behaved Inappropriately
Opposing counsel:
- has a duty to represent their clients; and
- owes you no duty.
In fact, you may feel the opposing counsel’s actions are directly contrary to your wishes or interests.
However, a lawyer or limited licensee also has a duty to behave honourably and with integrity.
See section 2.1-1 of the Law Society of Saskatchewan Code of Professional Conduct for Lawyers or the Law Society of Saskatchewan Code of Professional Conduct for Limited Licensees for more information.
In what way do you believe the lawyer or limited licensee behaved inappropriately?
