ABOUT THE JOB

The Opportunity:

The Court Services Division of Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice and Attorney General is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join their team in developing and delivering court services across the province. If you have a sound understanding of the justice system and issues related to the court system and want to work with a highly skilled and well-informed team, this career opportunity may be of interest to you.

You will be responsible for the provision of resources to all levels of the courts in Saskatchewan and manage the delivery of administrative services including registry, sheriff and clerk services. You will provide leadership and direction to staff on policies and programs and work closely with the Judiciary, partners and stakeholders to develop innovative and efficient court processes through the use of technology. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for court services which in turn contributes to development and implementation of the ministry’s key initiatives and further the corporate agenda of government.

Ideally, your background includes an in-depth working knowledge of the administrative policies and procedures of the Government of Saskatchewan, the justice system and issues affecting court services. You are recognized for your strategic, analytical, organizational and communication skills and your ability to manage a broad scope of issues under limited timeframes. Your demonstrated ability to address issues of a sensitive nature with tact and diplomacy will contribute to your success in this position.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a master’s degree in public administration or business administration or a Law Degree, and experience in public administration at a senior level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
