Take this Course

The Practice Management Course, a self-paced and self-testing course designed to support Saskatchewan law firms, lawyers and legal service providers in acquiring and maintaining the competencies needed to provide efficient and quality legal services. The Practice Management Course covers areas that the Law Society knows are fundamental to running a legal practice. It does not attempt to cover a complete knowledge base for each area. Rather, it captures highlights and provides an overview of core concepts.

Learners who complete the entire course are eligible to report CPD hours based on actual time to complete the course to a maximum of 12 hours, all of which qualify as ethics hours. If you wish to report CPD hours for time spent working through the course, or any modules thereof, then you must complete the module quiz for each such module. This is a requirement of the Law Society’s Continuing Professional Development Policy. See s.12(g)B.

You do not need to complete the full course to claim CPD Hours for time spent on the course.

For example:

  • if you require two additional hours to meet your annual Minimum CPD Requirements, you may spend two hours on the course and report those hours; or
  • if you wish to complete only certain modules, you may choose those that most interest you and report the applicable hours for those modules.
