Guiding the Guiders: Introducing Saskatchewan’s Legal Information Guidelines!

June 23, 2021 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm CST

Free

The Law Society of Saskatchewan has introduced Legal Information Guidelines to:

  • Support the dissemination of credible legal information
  • Outline how an information provider can assist the public with their legal information needs
  • Detail for the public what to look for when deciding on which provider to use and how an information provider can help

An overview of the Guidelines will be provided and the session will touch on the distinction between legal information and legal advice with practical examples, including help with forms.  Our goal is to help empower information providers to provide legal information assistance to the public.

Join us for this interactive workshop where we’ll guide you through different scenarios to showcase how to use the Guidelines when providing legal information.  We need your thoughts and feedback to further develop these Guidelines as an effective tool that meaningfully supports our province’s information intermediaries!
