Are you a board member or committee member who wants a better understanding of meeting procedures? 

In this workshop, Eli Mina, meeting mentor and registered parliamentarian, discusses the application of parliamentary procedure and Robert’s Rules of Order in meetings. You will gain an understanding of rules and the principles that they are intended to uphold. With that understanding, you will be better able to advise your clients on the correct and practical application of rules in meetings, to facilitate progress and effective decision making.

After taking the workshop, you will:

• -have a practical understanding of rules of order and how they should be applied
• -gain tools to facilitate group decision-making in a democratic and efficient manner
• -expand your focus from the technical rules to what they are supposed to achieve
• -be better able to advise your clients on resolving procedural disputes
• -understand procedural impacts of electronic meetings
