Practice Directive #2, Wire Transfer Procedures via Online Wire Payments Service was implemented during the COVID state of emergency to permit lawyers to complete wire transfers through their financial institution’s Online Wire Payments Service.  

Amendments to Rule 1514, Procedure for Withdrawing Funds from a Pooled Trust Account, have since addressed the issue that necessitated implementation of this Practice Directive, therefore, Practice Directive # 2 has been repealed in its entirety.  

Members are reminded that pursuant to Rule 1514(4)(c), there are required safeguards and procedures that the firm must implement if planning on using this service, the Wire Transfer Procedures via Online Wire Payments Service are available here (member login required).
