COVID-19 is challenging us to answer some very real and important questions to our staff quickly. Do we have all the information and are we certain about the answers? What are the ramifications if we get it wrong? The Law Society has also been challenged to absorb all of the information coming at us and in some cases we have still be left wondering. We have however done a lot of research with governing bodies over the past week to try and sort through and provide some practical answers to some very relevant questions.
We have developed responses to FAQs based not only on information we have read, but also calls to Employment Standards, EI and Occupational Health & Safety. We have compiled a list of questions and answers based on our learnings this week. It is our hope that this information is helpful to you during these times of uncertainty. Please note that this information is fluid and will be updated on a regular basis to keep you current.
