Survey on Legal Research Resources Access and Artificial Intelligence

The Law Society is surveying Active members about their use of and ongoing need for online legal research resources, including Westlaw, and use of artificial intelligence tools. 

The Law Society provides Active members with access to online research resources (including Westlaw) through the Member Resource Section. By bulk-purchasing these tools, members can access online legal research resources, regardless of their firm or organization’s size, location, capital, or clients’ ability to pay.  

Responses will help inform the Law Society’s decisions about renewing bulk-purchase agreements, with particular focus on whether to retain access to Westlaw, the most expensive resource. 

Respondents will be entered into a draw for a free one-year subscription to CPD OnDemand (a $799 value) and may report 15 CPD minutes upon completion as the survey invites reflection on legal research, competency, and artificial intelligence.
