From Centre for Research, Evaluation, and Action Towards Equal Justice (CREATE Justice)
The University of Saskatchewan Behavioural Research Ethics Board has approved an online survey aimed at capturing the impact of two related Centre for Research, Evaluation, and Action Towards Equal Justice (CREATE Justice) projects: Creating a Seat at the Table: Reflections from Women in Law (the book); and Dear Beth…A Women in Law Podcast (the podcast). The aim is to prioritize areas and issues for future action as part of a broader project to increase equity, diversity, inclusivity, and belonging in the legal profession.
The survey is being conducted by the Centre for Research, Evaluation, and Action Towards Equal Justice (CREATE Justice); the College of Law’s Well-Being Coordinator; instructors associated with a variety of topics, including Kwayeskastasowin (a course in Indigenous people and the law), and systemic and law reform in the legal profession; and experts in research methodology, reflective practice and well-being, and legal history, including women in law.
This study will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and remain open until December 31, 2024. All responses will be kept confidential.
The outcome of this survey will contribute to enhancing people-centered justice and access to justice. Participant responses will expand the limited data on the impact of this approach in the justice sector – specifically, the creation of reflective spaces for meaningful change. Based on the survey findings, recommendations, and initiatives will be developed to strengthen aspects that respondents find beneficial while addressing any identified gaps.
