Nisitohtamowin ᓂᓯᑐᐦᑕᒧᐃᐧᐣ An Introduction to Understanding Indigenous Perspectives in Canada

In partnership with BMO and Reconciliation Education, the First Nations University of Canada is bringing this introductory eLearning opportunity to organizations & communities across Canada. The eLearning course is a free public resource for all Canadians and is available June 1st to July 15th, 2021 in recognition of National Indigenous History Month in Canada. This course qualifies for 1.0 CPD hour, all of which qualifies for Ethics.
The First Nations University of Canada supports the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Calls to Action recommendations. Through this partnership, we can build upon and promote healing, equity, and respect for/of Indigenous cultures and values in Canadian Society.
Taking action towards understanding Indigenous perspectives can lead to reconciliation, better relationships, and various opportunities when it comes to the economy, community partnerships, the environment, business, and beyond.
This course is just the first step on the journey to understanding. We encourage all participants to seek further learning opportunities either with Indigenous Peoples in your own region or at First Nations University of Canada.

The course was originally created for BMO employees as an introduction to understanding Indigenous perspectives in Canada, in response to the Truth & Reconciliation Commission call to action for corporations to provide reconciliation education.
