Omission from Queen’s Bench Rules Annotated 2021
November 3, 2021On Thursday, October 28, a member kindly reached out to one of our librarians to point out that the Saskatchewan Queen’s Bench Rules Annotated 2021 failed to incorporate an amendment to the Queen’s Bench Rules. In fact, this and the last edition of the QBRA are missing the amendments to Rule 3-22 (Claim for debt or liquidated demand) that appeared in Part 1 of the February 22, 2019 edition of the Saskatchewan Gazette.
In the online edition, subsection (1) has now been changed, and subsections (3) and (4) and a new Information Note have been added pursuant to the amendments. We regret that this amendment to the Rules did not come to our attention sooner.
As we have already announced in Legal Sourcery and the ReSource, the print edition of the QBRA 2021 contains the draft version of Part 15 published on the Courts’ website in late February 2021, but the online QBRA has been updated to reflect the wording of the official version.
If you notice any inconsistencies between the official Rules of Court and the Rules as they appear in the QBRA, please do not hesitate to bring them to the attention of any of our library staff or Resource Co-ordinator Christine Muldoon ([email protected]).
