Free Family Law Information Sessions Available Near You This Summer

June 16, 2023

Are you dealing with separation, divorce, parenting, support, or other family law matters? Or are you facing legal issues related to family law and seeking guidance? Free Family Law Information sessions take place in five locations across Saskatchewan: Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Meadow Lake, and Prince Albert. See here for the schedule.

What to Expect From the Sessions

Our trained volunteers will provide comprehensive information on legal issues of family law. Here’s what you can expect from these sessions:

  • Identification of Legal Issues: Our knowledgeable volunteers will help you identify the specific legal issues you are facing, ensuring you clearly understand the challenges ahead.
  • Court steps and process: Attendees will receive information about the court process, types of court applications, and necessary steps in the process, such as attempting to resolve issues out of court. These sessions will demystify the processes and court rules involved, helping you feel more confident and informed throughout your legal journey.
  • Discussion of Available Options: We will discuss various options for resolving family law disputes, including mediation, negotiation, and going to court.
  • Document Review: The volunteers will review court documents to ensure you are using the correct forms and completing them accurately, minimizing the chances of administrative errors.
  • Referrals: The volunteers will refer you to useful resources and services, appropriate for your situation.

Important Note:

While our volunteer lawyers are committed to providing valuable information and assistance, they do not offer legal advice during the sessions. If you require legal advice specific to your situation, we encourage you to consult a lawyer outside of our information-only help sessions.

Join us at the information session nearest to you. For more information, please contact 1-888-218-2822 (ext. 2) or [email protected].
