June is National Indigenous History Month, an opportunity to expand understanding of the histories, experiences, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. Throughout this month and specifically on National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, it is encouraged to explore educational opportunities, resources, and events that support continued learning and engagement.
Continuing Professional Development
The Law Society offers continuing professional development sessions that explore Indigenous themes, including recent sessions on Indigenous identity (CPD 452) and a Treaty simulation (CPD 428). Additional educational content is available on the Law Society’s website (search “Indigenous”), including education specific to Truth and Reconciliation.
