Throughout Saskatchewan, communities gather to celebrate Pride Month during June – exploring the history, celebrating rights recognition, and acknowledging the struggle of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
To help raise awareness and encourage inclusion, the Law Society if offering a virtual seminar that focuses on issues that 2SLGBTQIA+ seniors may face. On June 6, 2023, Cheryl Loadman and Peter Lippman of Queer Seniors of Saskatchewan will speak about the unique concerns and experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ couples, and where they need assistance ensuring their intentions and directives are respected and met. The Law Society also has a free recorded webinar (CPD 228: Working With LGBTQ+ Clients) which explores the unique realities members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community experience when accessing legal services.
