The tenth annual Saskatchewan Access to Justice (SKA2J) Week will take place from October 27 to November 2, 2025, with the theme Ten Years Forward: Expanding Justice, Embracing Inclusion. This milestone year marks a decade of supporting a more accessible, inclusive, and responsive justice system in Saskatchewan.
The week is hosted by CREATE Justice and the Law Society of Saskatchewan and supported by legal organizations throughout the province. It brings together legal professionals, community organizations, students, and the public to share knowledge and ideas about strengthening access to justice in Saskatchewan. A series of virtual and in-person events will explore how collaboration, innovation, and inclusion can help strengthen Saskatchewan’s justice system.
Community-centered events are a key component of the week. Two free Law Fairs at the Regina and Saskatoon Public Libraries offer attendees the opportunity to learn about common legal topics, meet experts, and connect with local resources. In Saskatoon, a Community Social Justice Fair will link individuals facing poverty, injustice, or systemic challenges with health, employment, and legal support, as well as on-site resources.
Additionally, a free webinar will highlight limited licensing, which is a new category of regulated legal professional in Saskatchewan as of October 1, 2025. The week also features a Did You Know social media campaign that highlights the mandates and services of legal organizations throughout the province. An Accessing Legal Information infographic showcases how people in Saskatchewan access and obtain legal information.
Members of the public, law students, and legal professionals are encouraged to participate in this year’s events or propose future topics by contacting [email protected].
