Flexibility in Articling Requirements And PREP
March 30, 2021We are now one year into the COVID-19 pandemic and we cannot know the full impact of the lingering pandemic on firms. Therefore, we are highlighting the following changes and informational items that will provide additional flexibility to students and firms throughout this difficult time.

- Reduction in minimum articling term – Extended to Sept 30, 2021
- Note that eligibility for this reduced term option is limited and it may cause a timing issue for firms/students. Refer to full post for further details.
- Change to the number of articling students a principal can supervise
- Articling position not required to commence and complete PREP
- Phase One of PREP allows flexibility in structuring articles
- PREP will offer a second intake in December
