Find Legal Assistance Search Guidance
The Find Legal Assistance directory will help you locate members of the Law Society of Saskatchewan licensed to practice law.

Starting Your Search
The directory features nine search boxes: First Name, Last Name, Gender Pronoun, City/Town, Firm/Company Name, Languages, Area of Law or Legal Issue, Service Models, and Pricing and Payment Models. For best results, fill in no more than two or three of these boxes. To conduct a search, fill in a box or two. Then, click on the green search icon at the lower left of the screen:
Finding Legal Assistance
- By Location
Enter the name of a city or town in the City/Town box. Leave all other the boxes empty. For example, this search will retrieve all legal professionals in Regina:
You can narrow this list of legal professionals in your community by using the other search boxes – Gender Pronoun, Languages, Area of Law or Legal Issue, Service Models, and Pricing and Payment Models. These search boxes can be searched on their own or in combination with each other.
- By Legal Issue
Enter a location in the City/Town box. Then select a legal issue from the Area of Law or Legal Issue dropdown. This search will retrieve all legal professionals in Moose Jaw specializing in criminal law:
- By Flexible Service Model or Specific Type of Service
You can locate legal professionals in your area who offer flexible service models (Free initial meeting, Limited scope retainers, Virtual appointments) or specific services (Arbitration, Collaborative Law, (General) Advice/Assistance, Legal Coaching, Litigation, Mediation, and Negotiation). Select a service model from the Service Models dropdown. This search will retrieve all legal professionals who offer free initial meetings:
- By Alternative Pricing and Payment Models
You can select a pricing and payment model from the Pricing and Payment Models dropdown. This search will retrieve all legal professionals in Prince Albert who offer a fixed or flat rate fee:
Finding a Specific Legal Professional (member of the Law Society)
- By Name
You can search the directory by first name or last name to find a specific legal professional. You may enter either a complete name or a partial name. Note that any text entered in the First Name box will also search the middle name.
This list can be narrowed by Gender Pronoun, Firm/Company Name, and Languages.
- By Gender Pronoun
To identify a legal professional identifying by a particular gender pronoun, enter a first or last name and then select a pronoun from the Gender Pronoun dropdown. This search will retrieve all legal professional professions with this last name and who identify by the They/Them gender pronoun:
- By Law Firm
To find a legal professional employed by a particular law firm, type a law firm name into the Firm/Company Name box. You may enter a complete word or a partial word. This search will retrieve all legal professionals employed by any firm name containing mc:
- By Languages
To find a legal professional who offers legal services in a particular language, type a language into the Languages box. You may enter either a complete word or a partial word in the box. This search will retrieve all Cree speaking legal professionals:
After Your Search
Once you conduct a search, select a legal professional’s name from the search results to review their information and details.
- Does this Legal Professional Have a Discipline History or Practice Restriction?
You may see a variety of coloured icons associated with a legal professional’s name in the results list:
These icons indicate that a legal professional may have a discipline history or practice restriction. Additional information is provided in that individual’s directory record.
- Returning to the Search Screen
After viewing an individual record, you may wish to return to the search screen to see another record or conduct another search. To return to the directory’s main search screen, select this arrow icon, located at the upper left of the screen:
We recommend not using your internet browser’s back button. Doing so may not return you to the main search screen properly.
