I will participate in this program to develop as a legal professional but will not request legal or professional advice. I will not raise questions of substantive law nor seek guidance about particular client matters.
I will not rely on mentoring discussions as a substitute for my own professional judgement or my professional responsibilities.
I will not use mentoring sessions to apply for jobs with mentors or their organizations.
I will maintain confidentiality but recognize that solicitor-client privilege does not apply.
I understand that I am obligated to report serious ethical violations concerning a violation of the Code of Professional Conduct that raise a substantial question about honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer.
As a mentee participant in the Law Society’s mentorship program, I agree to the above Mentee Acknowledgement.
