    • Remote Executing Of Certain Documents And Remote Witnessing Of Wills By Electronic Means Legislation Now Permanent
      We are happy to announce that today, the Government of Saskatchewan repealed the temporary emergency regulations related to remote execution of certain documents and wills and replaced those regulations with permanent regulations allowing for remote execution of documents via electronic means (i.e. video calls) to continue long-term beyond the end of the public emergency period. The articling experience is a cornerstone in the development of new lawyers. Investment in the principal and articling student relationship assists in creating a positive articling experience and providing new lawyers with a strong foundation for an ethical and competent legal career. This training course is intended to provide all principals with the skills and tools necessary to successfully fulfil their role in the articling process. Others in mentorship or supervisory roles to articling students or newly called lawyers will also benefit from this training.

This course consists of 6 self-directed lessons covering such topics as principal/student obligations and responsibilities, effective mentorship, setting and managing expectations, providing feedback, and communicating in a culturally safe manner. It is designed to take approximately 3.5 hours to complete.
