From Law Commission of Canada
To foster collaboration between the academic community, legal professionals, and other organizations, the Law Commission of Canada (LCC) is now accepting proposals for financial support of conferences, seminars, and events that align with its mission of engaging Canadians in the ongoing evolution of law. The LCC offers grants of up to $10,000 to support qualifying events.
Proposals should align with the LCC’s vision of living law, pursuing justice, and renewing hope by emphasizing the real-world impact of law and the pursuit of justice and how these perspectives affect future generations. Additionally, proposals must demonstrate engagement with Indigenous peoples and legal traditions.
Submissions are due by November 1, 2024, and events must occur before March 31, 2025. For more information and submission guidelines, visit the Law Commission of Canada website.
