The Law Society is pleased to honor each of Kayla Romanow and Darca Tkach with the Award of Distinction. Kayla and Darca achieved the highest marks of students registered in the 2019-2020 CPLED Bar Admissions Program.
Kayla Romanow attended law school at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law. Prior to law school, Kayla received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina. During law school, Kayla participated in the Walsh Family Law Negotiation Competition in Toronto. Kayla also volunteered with the Family Legal Assistance Clinic, which provided free public clinic sessions for individuals who required family law information and assistance. Kayla completed her articles at Miller Thomson LLP in Regina.
Darca Tkach received her Juris Doctor in 2017 from the University of Victoria, where she also completed her M.A. in Greek and Roman Studies. She earned many academic awards at the University of Regina and the University of Calgary and taught undergraduate courses in Classics at Campion College for several years before attending law school. Darca articled with Mitchell Law Firm in Regina.
